Since then, I've met hundreds of new friends online and my new column, WORDS WE SPEAK is a compilation of information and statements I've found to be most poignant. Robert Logan (20 in February) has blessed us with a great grandson who will be named in memory of Mimi's departed husband, Glenn aka Trubble Phunk. Though it's almost completed, we haven't set the date for the opening of Caustic Studio in East Point, Georgia, where we will record the music of The Caustic Dames, Joan Cartwright and Jazz Hotline and other talented musicians in the area, nation and abroad.

Motherland Bridge Gallery will be housed at the Caustic Studio. We'll be open to private collectors, only. We will offer framed batiks and Shona sculpture from South and West Africa, oils, acrylics, scratchboards, silk paintings, wood carvings and much more! Mimi and I will produce this two-part newsletter by encouraging our clients, associates and friends to advertise with a business card ad for $150. This
holiday season proved to be rewarding for Joan and granddaughter, Vernechia.
They visited old family friends in Perry, GA. who lived next door to Joan's
family when she was a child. Three sisters and one brother were the children
of Emily, who was Joan's mother, Charlotte's best friend. Emily is one of 19
children born to The Engrams of Perry, GA. Eight of the sisters have moved
back from Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan to GA in the past decade. Joan
moved to Atlanta, 110 miles away. So, it was a great reunion because they
all remember Joan (Little Renee) and Muki (Vernechia) had a ball with all of
the sisters' children and grandchildren.
