Life will make you change, whether you want to or not. Growing old should be fun and done gracefully! AUTUMN is the season in which we openly admit that change is inevitable. We've shared the hot summer sun with our buddies, swimming, grilling, vacationing and just living it up. Now, with the beautiful colors of changing leaves, FALL shows us that change is in the wind. For me, this has more meaning, this year, since I've moved from Fort Lauderdale to Atlanta, after living in sunny, South Florida for 21 years, with numerous junkets to Europe. I'm loving the hilly topography of Georgia. For so many years, I sang "Georgia", without understanding why it was "on my mind!" I love driving here, the steep hills and winding roads give me a true sense of living with nature. Yes, Florida's sea and sand was fun, but in 21 years, I must say I didn't spend as much time at the beach as you'd think. Like so much else in life, we took the beach for granted. Anyway, Georgia's home, now, and I'm happy. Change, here, included getting Mimi's house painted. We are blessed with a new friend, CHICO LEVEL, who not only painted the house, but engaged my grandson, ROBERT, to help with the painting.
Also, Chico is helping to complete the project we've initiated in memory of Mimi's departed husband, Glenn aka Trubble Phunk, Caustic Studio in East Point, Georgia, where we will record the music of The Caustic Dames, Joan Cartwright and Jazz Hotline and other talented musicians in the area, nation and abroad. We plan to be open by October. Chico's degree in architecture is paying off because he knows what needs to be done to finish this project that's been going on for a year, now. We really appreciate all of Chico's attention to our renovations. The Caustic Dames are on a 4-city tour of the Northeast with their brand of hip hop. Check out their schedule.
Thank you Beloved Mighty
